Prayers for meditation.  Similar to "centering prayer" but with emphasis
on centering on Jesus (not ourselves).  Effective discipline of the mind.

The Jesus Prayer:
"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner."
(Luke 18:38, Luke 17:13, Luke 18:14)

Psalms:
O God be strong to save me, O Lord make haste to help me.

The Lord is good, His mercies are new every morning.

The Lord is good, His love endures forever.

Bring to an end the violence of the wicked and make the righteous secure

"Be still and know that I am God"
(Psalm 46:10)

"O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in Him."


"He is the LORD; let him do what is good in his eyes."
(I Samuel 3:18b) ...
